  2. Detangle from the ends up. Use a wide-tooth comb. Ombre wave fiber stays smoother if you don't yank from the roots.

  4. Dutch or French braid the crown. Start at one temple. Feed hair into a Dutch (underhand) braid as you work across the hairline toward the other temple, then continue around the back of the crown. Pin the braid end under with bobby pins that match the silver tone.
